Ever wondered how today's best kept lawns, borders and beds are always looking just so good? By reading the articles produced by our expert head groundsman Eddie Seaward, you can make sure your garden becomes an ever-greater source of pride and joy as months and years roll by.

Here's a quick guide on when to prune what in your garden.

Sepetember/October - trees for harvest in Spring/Summer (peach, cherry, plum, apricot, cherry-plum etc)

February/March/April - plants for summer flowering (roses - relowering, hydrangea, magnolia, tamarisk, hibiscus, lavender etc)

February/March/April - trees for harvest in Autumn (apple, pear, hazel, quince, vineyards etc)

May/June - plants with spring flowering (roses, azalea, forsythia, broom, lilac, prunus etc)

At Godfreys, we have a full range of pruning and cutting tools including pruners, loppers, shears and secateurs. Take a look at our garden tools section. Also, we stock the full Wolf garden tools range and they have an excellent range of pruning tools as well.
